Natural - Unobtrusive - Relaxed

Photos that feel like you
Your wedding day should feel like your day.
My goal is to keep things relaxed, low-key, and pressure-free so you can focus on being present, because the best moments happen when you don't know the camera's there.
I won't ask you to stand and smile, I let you be you so that I can capture you and your people, living the best day.
If you’re planning a wedding that’s more about the feeling than the formalities, then we’ll be a great match!

You guys were amazing and everyone loved having you! Thank you so much!

Less posing, More partying
I completely get that having your photo taken can feel a bit weird, I’ve been there too, that’s why I keep it natural and pressure-free.
You’ll barely notice me most of the time, but I’ll be there for all the big emotions, happy tears, and the little in-between moments that make your day yours.
You can trust me to show up with good vibes, a calm presence, and my cameras, ready to capture your wedding day, exactly as it all felt for you.

FAQs
We include 50 miles of travel (from Cowbridge) in our packages, after that we charge 45p per mile. We love travelling all over the UK for weddings, and we are more than happy to travel to your international wedding too. If you want us to capture your wedding day, we’ll make it happen!
I live in South Wales, but I travel to weddings all over the UK. I tend to shoot most of my weddings in Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Dorset, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, and the Cotswolds.
I'm always up for an adventure, so if you're planning something further afield, I’d love to be there for it! If it’s more than a 2 hour drive from Cowbridge (South Wales) then I’ll book a hotel nearby so that I don’t risk driving long distances on your wedding day!
Yes, we are fully insured with both public liability and private indemnity insurance.
Yes, fully covered with public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Most venues ask for this, if yours does then let me know and I’ll send the documents over to them.
You will receive your preview gallery a few days after your wedding, and then we aim to get your full gallery completed and delivered in 2-3 months.
I’ll send your sneak peek preview gallery over very soon after your wedding day so you’ve got something to keep those wedding vibes going. Your full gallery will then be ready within 10 weeks (sometimes sooner, depending on the time of year).
It’s super easy to get booked into our calendar. Fill in our contact form below, we’ll then get back to you with any answers to your questions, our availability if you would like to meet us before booking, and a link to our client portal where you can view our photography packages specific to your wedding day. Once you've decided, you can then select your desired package through our client portal, pay the £200 deposit, and then you’re all booked in!
Just drop me a message through my contact form and we’ll get the ball rolling. Once we’ve had a quick chat to make sure we’re a good fit, I’ll send you a link to my client portal which contains your package quote, questionnaire and agreement. From there, all you need to do is pay the non-refundable deposit to secure your wedding date!
The main thing to do is breathe a sigh of relief, that's one more thing ticked off the to do list! You are secured in our calendar. When you book, you'll get a chance to give us as much information as you like about your wedding plans. Additionally, if you're ever unsure anything wedding-related, we have been to a fair few weddings and are currently going through the wedding planning process ourselves, so feel free to send us a message and we'll be happy to help!
If we don't hear from you, that's also fine, we'll be in touch a few months before your wedding day to organise a pre-wedding call to go through the final details of your wedding day.
To secure your date, all you need to do is pay the non-refundable deposit. Then the full amount is due a month before your wedding date.
You’ll probably have loads of invoices and payment dates to remember, but you don’t need to worry about remembering as my client portal will send out an automatic reminder email with details of how to pay.
I can also offer payment plans. If this is something you’d like, then just let me know when we first chat, so I can set it up.
Yes please, sometimes we can be on our feet for 12+ hours and the only point we get to stop and sit down is when you’re sat down eating your food. If you want to provide us with a wedding breakfast meal then that’s great, if it’s just a bar meal that’s also great, a lot of the time your caterers will know exactly what to do for suppliers.
We have been capturing weddings for almost 10 years, so we've gotten very good at preparing for the worst-case scenarios. We always bring backup equipment, just in case something fails or is damaged. We also record onto two memory cards on multiple cameras, so if a memory card does fail, all of your memories are backed up on the second card.
Absolutely, I love elopements! Whether it’s just the two of you or a tiny gathering, I’d be happy to capture it all in a laid-back, unobtrusive way.
We may not be the biggest fans of formal group photos, but we know exactly how to organise people to capture fantastic group shots! If you want to spice them up to make them more exciting, then we have plenty of ideas to achieve this. Essentially, you are hiring us to capture your day how you want to remember it, we will capture whatever you want us to capture.
Yes, every photo you receive is carefully edited by me, no batch-processing or outsourcing.
We hear this so often and we are right there with you, there is a reason we’re behind the camera! You may have spent months and/or years planning your wedding, so the last thing you want is for it to feel like one long photoshoot. We want you to experience and enjoy your wedding day, because that’s how we can capture the best moments. This is why we like to get to know you both beforehand, to understand what is important to you about your wedding day and how we can help capture that.
If you do decide to have a couple photoshoot, we understand that nobody wants rigid-looking photos or forced smiles, so we tend to stay away from super-posed photos. Instead, we know some great ways to get you both relaxed, smiling, and laughing.
It depends on the package and coverage. At minimum, you’ll receive 500 photos, sometimes it can be up to 1000! I shoot a lot more because I don’t want to miss anything, this means that you’ll have plenty of moments to look back on.
Most of my couples say this, but trust me, by the end of the day, you’ll have completely forgotten I’m even there.
My style is all about capturing real moments naturally, without awkwardly posing. I aim to keep things light and fun, and I’m proud that many of my couples have mentioned how relaxed they felt after their wedding day.
If you’d like to find out what my past couples have said, you can read their testimonials here.
If you’re feeling nervous, I recommend having a pre-wedding session, this is a fantastic way to get to know me and means that you’ll know exactly what to expect from me on your wedding day!
A pre-wedding session (sometimes called an engagement shoot) offers a great opportunity to meet and get to know each other before your wedding day. If you're nervous about being in front of a camera, then it is a perfect time to find out that we're not going to be in your face, we're very much in the background for most of your day. During the pre-wedding session, we'll visit one of your favourite places and have a walk around, get some coffee and cake, and have a relaxed time taking some photographs. You then receive all of the images which are often used for save the dates or wedding invites. We can help suggest printing suppliers that match any budget, and can also offer our design services too.
It is entirely up to you and what you want from your photographs. It's good to think about what is important in your relationship. You could go back to the first place you met, the place you said your first "I love you", or your favourite place to go for a walk, it can be anywhere you like. If you're a little nervous about having your photo taken, then it's best to choose an activity that you both enjoy, for example if you're both into games then you could choose to go to an arcade bar or if you're really into beer then maybe a local brewery. If you're stuck for ideas then we're always here to help, we can have a chat and suggest some ideas based on what we know about you both so far.
I’m happy to do group photos if you’d like them! I usually recommend keeping the list short and sweet so you can get back to enjoying your day, but I’ll work through them quickly and smoothly with zero stress. If you’d like to speed the group photos up even more, I’d recommend tasking a member of your wedding party with gathering the guests needed for the group photos.
Yes! I really encourage my couples to get their photos printed, that way you can have a daily reminder of the memories and moments from your wedding day.
We're happy to offer combined photography and videography packages, we quote for these on an individual basis as they require more detail and planning to be able to achieve the high standard of quality which our style requires. Send us a message and we'd be happy to put together a few combined packages based on your wedding day.
Yes, I offer beautifully crafted wedding albums that are designed to last a lifetime.
Of course, you don’t need to decide right away. I often get couples coming back after the wedding, once they’ve had time to take it all in.
I can also offer wedding album vouchers, if you’d like one of your guests to buy you an album as a wedding present.
Absolutely, I design the album using your favourite selected photos. You’ll get to see the album design and tweak things before it gets printed too.
Yes! I either work with Katie, or one of my trusted photographers/videographers to capture both photo and film. You can find out more about my combined packages on my pricing page.
Touch wood, this hasn’t happened in the 10 years I’ve been capturing weddings. However, just in case it ever does happen, I have a strong network of trusted photographers I can call on in an emergency. You’ll never be left without someone there.
Yes please, it means that I don’t have to leave the venue to go get some food, potentially missing capturing something important! Many caterers offer supplier meals, so it’s worth chatting to them to see what they can do. Alternatively, some venues offer a bar menu or something similar.
I’ve only had it happen twice, and every time I’ve swapped out to one of my other cameras with no problem at all. My cameras record onto two separate memory cards, and after the wedding, I backup to several locations so that there’s less risk of losing your photos!
Usually around 20-30 minutes depending on the venue. I like to keep this time relaxed and easy-going. I don’t ask you to pose in specific ways, instead I’ll give you prompts or ask you questions to ask each other. It’s also quite flexible, it’s best to capture this time when you have a little bit of energy, rather than after hours of catching up with all of your guests!
Yes please! That gorgeous soft light just before sunset is the dream! If we’re lucky with the weather, I’ll keep an eye on the light and gently pull you away for a few minutes when the timing is perfect.
We roll with it, I’ll be prepared with umbrellas, and we’ll still find beautiful moments (sometimes the rainy moments are the most romantic!). I don’t care about getting wet, as long as I capture some beautiful memories for you, then I’ll be happy!
